Overview
The Indiana Pacers have advanced to the NBA Finals for the second time in franchise history and the first time in 25 years. After defeating the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Pacers advanced to face the Western Conference champion Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals.
The Pacers previously advanced to the NBA Finals in 2000, where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games. The Thunder also have one NBA Finals appearance since relocating to Oklahoma City, reaching the Finals in 2012, where they lost the Miami Heat in five games.
